Day 1 & 2: NEGOMBO - SIGIRIYA
Early morning leave for Sigiriya,visitng a roof tile factory and pineapple plantation as well as Pinawella Elephant Orphanage ,one of the popular attractions, established as a sanctuary .Visitors are invited to observe and assist the baby elephants as they are fed from giant feeding bottles, before they plod down to the river for their daily bath.In the afternoon visit the Sigiriya Fortress, which was a royal palace of King Kassyappa (477-495 A.D) Dinner and overnight in hotel in Sigiriya.
Visit of Sigiriya rural life with bull cart ride and the city, Sigiriya and Pidurangalla Temple and Pahalagama lake.In the afternoon proceed to Mineriya National Park for Jeep safari.Dinner and overnight at hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 3: SIGIRIYA - KANDY
After morning elephant ride through the jungle proceed to Kandy,visiting Dambula Cave Temple, batic factory and spice garden in Matale on the way.,Visit of Temple of The Tooth and traditional cultural dancing show in the evening. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Kandy.
Day 4: KANDY - NUWARA ELIYA
After breakfast visit Peradeniya Botanical garden and leave for Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya supposed to be one of the coolest places in the Island, but it is really just like an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence, houses like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.
En-route visit the famous Ramboda waterfall , Sri Lankan tea plantation and a working tea factory, and also experience a self-tea plucking session. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 5: NUWARA ELIYA - HORTON PLAINS
After early breakfast you will be taking a trip to Horton Plains, Sri Lanka's highest and most isolated plateau. Set on a backdrop of the hauntingly beautiful landscape of cloud forests and endless grasslands, Horton Plains is the perfect place for nature lovers, with its rich biodiversity and stunning views. Those who visit Horton Plains can't help but be enamoured by the sight of many wild animals and different species of birds enjoying the resplendent surroundings. Walk through Horton Plains to the precipice known as World's End - a sheer drop of an astonishing 1,050 meters, an excellent place to look out over the surrounding hills, and a popular spot for photos. Return to hotel in the afternoon and then free walk in local market .Dinner and overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 6: NUWARA ELIA - ADAMS PEAK
After breakfast move on to Sri Pada.It is variously known as Adam's Peak, the place where Adam first set foot on Earth after being cast out of heaven or 'Sacred Footprint' left by Buddha as he headed towards paradise or 'Samanalakande' Butterfly Mountain, where butterflies go to die. Whichever legend you care to believe, the fact remains that it has been a pilgrimage centre for over 1000 years.
The best to visit Adam`s Peak is between January - May, as from May - October the peak is obscure by cloud cover most of the time. Adam`s Peak is not for the faint hearted, as it is for the early morning riser, ascending the mount as early as 5am to get the best view.
Day 7: ADAMS PEAK - KITHULGALA -NEGOMBO
After rest in your hotel proceed to Kithulgala for white water rafting and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way and surrounding area. Originally known for the classic movie production Bridge on the River Kwai. Now days very popular for a white water rafting enthusiast. In the afternoon proceed back to your hotel in Negombo. End of tour.
